Construction site security
A gate officer during the day; guards, patrol or cameras at night.
View detailsCity sites share walls and fences with occupied buildings, alleys and sidewalks. Use as few entrances as you can, lock the spares and keep the main gate where an officer or camera can see it.
Check shared fence lines and scaffold access often. Gaps show up quickly when neighbors, deliveries and sidewalk traffic are all pressing in.
A gate officer who logs every sub and delivery during the day leaves you with a clear list of who came through and when. It also sends anyone wandering in off the sidewalk back out.
Keep that log with your dailies. If something goes missing, it’s the first thing you’ll want.
Thieves on city sites go for copper, wire, tools, fixtures and fuel. Lock small materials up, schedule deliveries close to install and keep expensive equipment where the gate or a camera can see it.
Lights on the staging area are one of the cheapest fixes there is.
Nights and weekends are when city sites get hit. An overnight guard makes sense during high-value phases; unpredictable patrol visits work for slower stretches; and live camera monitoring can watch the whole site and send patrol when something moves.
Most jobs use a mix that changes by phase, on month-to-month terms that end when the job does.
Hot work or a fire system that’s offline may mean you need fire watch. Check with your fire alarm or sprinkler vendor. We’ll provide the officer and keep the timed log on site.
